Our pilgrimage begins at the Carmelite Shrine in Munster, Indiana, where we will gather to celebrate Holy Mass, spend time in prayer, tour the shrine, and enjoy a delicious catered lunch.
The tranquil grounds of the shrine are home to several sacred spaces, including a Marian Grotto and the Stations of the Cross, with particular emphasis on the 14th Station, which is the Grotto of the Lord’s Tomb. Pilgrims will also visit the monastery church, which houses the miraculous statue of Our Lady of Ludźmierz, Queen of the Polish Highlanders. Additional places for prayer and reflection include the Chapel of Our Lady of Mercy and the Highlanders’ Chapel, along with other beautiful devotional spaces throughout the grounds.
Throughout the peaceful gardens, nestled among the trees, pilgrims will encounter statues of beloved Polish saints and Carmelite figures, including St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus and her father, St. Louis Martin, St. Raphael Kalinowski, St. Maximilian Kolbe, and St. John Paul II.
